 Jason Schaefer, 30, Education Coordinator - Jason grew up in North Dakota, receiving a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of North Dakota in 2003. He has been involved in numerous environmental campaigns as well as youth advocacy and education work. He has worked for MoveOn.org, and organized several successful grassroots groups. His important contributions to the community include organizing an all-ages skate park, opposing dangerous landfills and creating citizen led ballot initiatives supporting renewable energy. He currently serves on the Dakota Resource Council's Clean Energy Committee along with Grand Forks, ND mayor Mike Brown's Cool Cities Climate Change Task Force.

 Anna Holden- Martz, 26, grew up in the high, northern deserts of Utah, riding the mountains year round, whether on bike or skis. She developed a real respect and connection for the outdoors and is on a quest to help others develop the same. Anna recently received a Masters degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana, which focused on connecting people to natural places through science-based volunteer opportunities. Most recently, Anna has been kiting at the beach in Monterey, California, where she works as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.

 Chelsea Hummon, 21, grew up in the Great Lakes state of Michigan, near the swamps and forests that come along with the lakes. A water puppy, she took up fly fishing out west where the large bodies of water weren’t within biking distance and eventually moved to Iceland to be surrounded by water. Chelsea is a student at Central Michigan University studying Recreation and Leisure Servies as well as Conservation of Natural Resources. Working towards a goal of spreading the use of alternative energy, she is currently interning in North Dakota with 2XtM. Chelsea aspires to continue as an environmental educator while strengthening communities through shared experiences such as snowkiting.

 Kathryn Joyce, 21, Programming Coordinator- Kathryn grew up in North Dakota; she is currently pursuing a degree in Philosophy and Honors at the University of North Dakota. She is involved in the Environmental Conservation Organization and has a background in service learning. Through conscious efforts to contribute positively to the community Kathryn hopes to invoke social change and inspire the young people in North Dakota. She is currently coordinating a windsock action project to give North Dakota residents a way to show support for wind energy development.

 Dan Norgard, 23, Logistics Coordinator - Dan grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and received his undergrad at the University of North Dakota. He is currently in his second year of Grad work at UND in Applied Economics. Dan has been a huge help to the YogaSlackers crew by running the Northern Heights Rock Gym in Grand Forks. Dan is an invaluable member of the 2XtM team as well. During 2007's expedition he kited for approximately 5 minutes before deciding that the education crew was much cooler! This year, Dan is holding down the fort in Grand Forks handling logistics for the expediiton. Thanks to Dan, we actually know where we are going! When Dan's not doing everything he can to be helpful, he enjoys being involved in his church and outdoor activities, including snowkiting and adventure racing.
