A new band of extreme eco-athletes is stretching the definition of yoga and activism

Think crane pose is hard? Try doing it on a bouncy, one-inch wide, nylon line suspended three-feet off the ground. Or how about meditating in lotus position while balancing on the same bungy-like line? While to some this might seem one step below the mythical feat of levitation, for Jason Magness and Sam Salwei, it’s just another turn on the path to enlightenment.

The three snowkiters who left Feb. 11 from Crosby, N.D., on a 390-mile mission to cross western North Dakota to Keldron, S.D., using only wind, have achieved their goal.

We did it!  Sam, Jason and Paul completed their epic journey of North Dakota on Thursday, Feb 28th, 2008 and the education crew held their last events and snowkiting clinics of the expedition on Saturday, March 1st in Fargo.
